The Really Geeky Stuff
Our servers utilise the latest high-end Dell hardware and have a guaranteed 3GB of RAM but this can increase to 6GB bursts if required. We NEVER host more than 30 websites on a server, to ensure that all of our customers have access to ample resources all of the time.
Each server has multiple multi-core Intel processors installed and multiple SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) hard disk drives set-up in a RAID 5 Array. These are very fast hard disks configured in such a way that if one fails, your complete data is safely stored on another of the drives.
Our servers are situated in carrier class UK data centres connected to a Tier 2 network with 50,000 Mbit connectivity thanks to state-of-the-art Cisco gigabit switched routers.
